Movement cuePlant the full word BLESH—Bend, Lift, Extend, Snap, Hold—but practice only Bend and Lift at 6U. Power comes from the legs; Extend, Snap, and Hold are named and modeled, not drilled.
The BLESH vocabulary is planted now, but the 6U body focus is Bend and Lift only.
Get Ready
EquipmentReal ball, foam ball, sock ball, or stuffed animal; an imaginary or low safe target.
SpaceClear space close to an imaginary hoop, mini-hoop, laundry basket, box, or low taped target.
SafetyUse a soft ball indoors and a low, stable target. Success is the Bend-and-Lift motion, not making the basket.
